What we’re looking for

The role is a customer-oriented position and is responsible for planning and managing the overall F&B operations in order to achieve customer satisfaction, quality of food and beverage service, compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as federal, state and local regulations while meeting/exceeding financial goals for the F&B Operations.

What you’ll do

  • Support company’s policies and procedure
  • Responsible for managing the budget and planning department goals.
  • Hire, discharge, schedule, train and motivate employees, ensuring that all staff understand and are accountable for upholding company policies.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews in accordance with Company policy.
  • Develop, implement and maintain compliance with SOP’s for F&B operations, including adherence to safety regulations and federal, state and local food code regulations, to ensure optimal levels of service, quality and hospitality are provided to guest(s).
  • Forecast, implement, monitor, control and report on the various budgets and their components (labor costs, food costs, beverage costs, equipment, etc.) to maximize revenue and minimize expenses while ensuring adequate supplies and staff are on hand to provide top quality customer service.
  • Maintain par level inventories of food, beverage and other supplies.  Establish methods of inventory control and maintain proper ordering procedures for Just-In-Time purchasing.  Participate in physical inventories.
  • Develop, implement, maintain and update menu offerings in accordance with customer trends, needs, feedback, etc., to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  • Recommend and implement promotions, displays, presentations and ideas, to capture more in-house guests and a larger share of the local market.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the meeting rooms and all equipment.
  • Place maintenance and housekeeping work orders when needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five years F&B experience (including conference center/banquet experience) plus minimum of three years supervisory experience required
  • Flexible and on-call availability to include, days, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities and tasks
  • Must be a self-motivator of others
  • Must work in a safe, prudent and organized manner
  • Must have mathematical skills, computer software aptitude and some hotel operation knowledge
  • Knowledge of specific hospitality industry applications is desirable (rdp preferred)
  • Must have ability to relate to all levels of management
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Must have superior organizational skills

Skills you’ll need

  • Technical computer skills required on all forms of hardware - laptops, tablets and mobile devices
  • Availability to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed. 
  • Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts
  • Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
  • Highly responsive and reliable 
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Prior housekeeping experience a plus 
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for an extended period of time
    • Reach overhead and below the waist 
    • Regularly push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
    • Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds 
    • Bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and twist
